Barcelona, March 10, 2026. Mr. Jaume Duch, Councillor for European Union and Foreign Action of the Government of Catalonia, visited the global headquarters of Towa International, the international hub of Towa Pharmaceutical, a leading Japanese company in the generic medicines market. During the visit, the Councillor met with the company’s executive team and visited its laboratory and production plant in Barcelona.

The meeting underscored Catalonia’s strategic importance as a hub for pharmaceutical innovation in Europe, emphasizing opportunities for international collaboration and the region’s contribution to global health initiatives.

David Peix, CEO of Towa International, highlighted that welcoming Mr. Duch and his team provided an opportunity to showcase Towa’s global vision.
