Mr. Miquel Sàmper, Regional Minister of Business and Labour of the Government of Catalonia, visited the global headquarters of Towa International in Barcelona, the international hub of Towa Pharmaceutical, a leading Japanese company in the generic medicines market. The Minister met with the Towa’s executive team and toured its production facilities.

The meeting highlighted Towa’s investments in Catalonia and their impact on job creation. The company currently employs more than 1.080 people in Spain, Italy, Portugal and the U.S.The meeting highlighted Catalonia’s strategic role as a pharmaceutical innovation hub in Europe and its contribution to international cooperation and global health initiatives.
